Funeral services for Mr. William E. Jackson will be held Friday at 2pm at Barham Funeral Home-Forest Lawn Chapel. Rev. Larry Reynolds will be officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with military honors.

Mr. Jackson, 96, of Dalewood, passed away at his residence on Tuesday. Mr. Jackson served his country as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII earning the Victory medal and American Theatre ribbon. He was retired as a carpenter. He enjoyed watching Westerns on television, loved exploring the Bible and enjoyed his dog “Baby”.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Jackson; children Bud Arnold Jackson, Brenda Bagwell, Joan Jones Castleberry, David Allen Jackson, Sandra Jackson; brother Sam Bernard Jackson; sisters Julia Smith, Doris Shaffer and Ruth Penner. Mr. Jackson is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Bertha Jackson; son William David Jackson; brother Leon Curtis Jackson and sister Virginia Neal.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
